Our goal ist to build every Golden Villa Homes to be more environmentally friendly than homes built by other national home builders. System built construction is naturally Green because of inherent construction techniques used in the manufacturing process.
We do our part by focusing on providing well built energy efficient homes as well as homes that are friendly to the environment. Our manufacturers are continually improving the standard construction features of our homes as well as available optional features to be healthy, energy saving, and good for the environment.
Green Features found in our homes
- Blown cellulose ceiling insulation made from recycled newspapers
- ENERGY STAR rated kitchen appliances
- Dual pane low-e vinyl frame windows
- Low flow toilets
- Return air transfer ducts to provide more air flow
- Caulking or foam tape between exterior walls and floor to seal tight
- Panelized frame system to save waste
- Foam nail adhesive used to attach trusses to ceiling board to seal tight
- Energy saving floor insulation or foundation insulation (completed on site by others)
- 2x6 wall construction with vapor barrier and fully sheathed walls
- BonnaVilla Homes builds an oversized heel on ceiling trusses to allow full insulation to flow to the top of the sidewall for greater energy efficiency
- All our manufacturers have material recycling programs implemented into their standard construction procedures
- The home is completely built indoors and not susceptible to rain, snow, hail or other moisture causing weather
